Mr. Steve Plemmons Class of 1975 |
Mr. Steve Plemmons is the 2010 recipient of the Distinguished Alumni Award. Mr. Plemmons is a 1975 graduate of Forsyth Tech's Automotive Systems Technology program. He is President and CEO of Bill Plemmons RV World, a second generation RV dealership which has been in business since 1951. The company has locations in Rural Hall, Raleigh, and Salisbury, NC. Mr. Plemmons is currently President of the Forsyth Tech Alumni Association and has served on its board for several years. |

Ms. Teresa Ketner
Class of 2002 |
Ms. Teresa Ketner is the 2009 Forsyth Tech Distinguished Alumni Award recipient. Ms. Ketner is a 2002 graduate from Forsyth Tech's Criminal Justice/Latent Evidence Technology program. She has been employed as a Forensic Specialist on the Greensboro Police Department Forensic Team since 2002. In her "spare” time, Ms. Ketner has taught Crime Scene Processing, Trace Evidence, and Criminalistics at Forsyth Tech during the last four years. She is a member of the Greensboro Police Officer Association and on the board of the North Carolina Division of the International Association for Identification. |

Mr. Dempsey Essick
Class of 1973 |
Mr. Dempsey Essick is the 2008 Forsyth Tech Distinguished Alumni Award recipient. As a 1973 graduate with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Dempsey owns and operates The Dempsey Essick Art Gallery in Welcome, NC. In addition to helping the Forsyth Tech Foundation raise money, he has supported numerous organizations including Crisis Control Ministry, Senior Services, the Cancer Society, the North Carolina Bluebird Society, and many local organizations in Welcome. |

Ms. Krishauna L.
Hines
Class of 1999 |
Krishauna Hines graduated from Forsyth Tech with an Associate in Arts Degree in 1999. She continued her education with a BA at Salem College and an MEd. at Wake Forest University and is now working on a doctorate in foreign languages. After teaching Spanish at Forsyth Tech for five years, Shauna is now an Instructor of Spanish and Coordinator of French & Spanish Teacher Education at Salem College. |

Ms. Elizabeth M. Pack
Class of 1992 |
Elizabeth Pack graduated from Forsyth Tech with degrees in business administration and marketing and retailing. Her compassion for helping others has been expressed in many activities including a mission trip to Southeast Asia, where she spent ten days helping the victims of the tsunami disaster. Currently, she is a student advisor at Gardner-Webb where she also earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees. |

Ms. Joanne C. Ruhland |
Ms. Ruhland attended Forsyth Tech in the early 1980's. She went on to complete her MBA in Finance and Economics at Appalachian State University. She was also an adjunct instructor at Forsyth Tech from 1988 through 1997. Ms. Ruhland continues to be a valuable resource for the Forsyth Tech Grants office for various projects, and she helps promote collaboration between the college and Wake Forest University Health Sciences. |

Ms. Connie Huggins

Ms. Huggins graduated from Forsyth Tech in 2001 with an Information Systems and Networking Support Associate in Applied Science degree. In May 2004, she graduated from Winston-Salem State University with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Science degree. |

Dr. Peggy Campbell Baker
Class of 1973 |
Dr. Baker graduated in 1973 from the practical nursing program at Forsyth Tech. She later received bachelor of science from Winston-Salem State University; master's in education and Ph.D. from North Carolina State University. |

Ms. Judie Holcomb-Pack
Class of 1999 |
Ms. Holcomb-Pack is a 1999 honors graduate in Marketing and Retailing. She is currently the marketing director of Crisis Control Ministry in Winston-Salem. |

George T. Jacobs
Class of 1982 |
Mr. Jacobs graduated from Police Science program in 1982 and retired in April 2001 as Associate Director, Risk Management for Safety and Security at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. |
